Merrimack Valley RedBirds 2023 Team Preview
1/16/2023by RedBirds Manager Chris Lavallee

Our next featured team is the Merrimack Valley RedBirds managed by Chris Lavallee.

The Merrimack Valley RedBirds come into the 2023 season looking to rebound from a frustrating end to the 2022 season. They will bring back their whole roster from last season. Player/Manager Chris Lavallee is returning for his final season in the GSBL.

Last season the RedBirds entered the 2022 season coming off an 18+ championship appearance adding three Seacoast Braves players in Pitcher Kyle Parmley, Utility Heath Norris and Infielder Edgar Montan. Parmley finished the 2022 season as the runner up for the pitcher of year award and will all look to build on a great 22’ season.

The Red Birds will return top players Cody Bassett, Chris Gauss, Cam Conway and Danyer Fabian who will all be looking to build off their 2022 seasons that got the RedBirds into the playoffs.

The pitching staff for the Birds will be the same with Kyle Parmley, Damean Currier, Mike Gamache and Jon Merritt all leading the way and now they added a little depth with the addition of Jolmi Minaya. Minaya for the time being is the only new recruit for the RedBirds.

The Redbirds will be once again playing their home games on Saturday mornings/afternoons at Michele Park in Salem, NH.

The RedBirds will look to get back to the playoffs and hope to make a run at the championship to get their manager that long awaited championship.
